There are four windows in The Tower, facing the four compass directions. The North and South are hardly more than arrow slits, however, and therefore too small for entry. There are East and West windows large enough for a man, but the shutters appear to be tightly closed. The slates on the roof appear completely intact, although that may change soon if I have no other avenue of entry. The roof is mansard style, and the peak runs East and West. There is a chimney on the South side, so climbing there would mean going all the way to the roof, as only a slit-like window would be accessible. At each end of he peak a finial appearing to be of metal projects upward. If I can loop a rope around one of these, I may be able to ascend and try a window. The question is whether or not one of these will support my weight.
